Bet types in MMA
1) Winner (Moneyline)
Direct market: which fighter wins. It is the recommended entry point for beginners.
2) Victory method
Lets bet if the fighter wins KO/TKO, submission or decision. Requires style, defense and cardio analysis.
3) Total rounds (Over/Under)
Bet if the fight goes over a line of rounds (for example 2.5). Very sensitive to rhythm, durability and gameplan.
4) The fight comes to a decision
Binary market: yes/no. Useful when both have a tendency to control and minimize risks.
5) Pros of round and combined
Includes winner + method, or completion in a particular round. They are more volatile markets: higher share, lower success rate.
6) Live (live)
Dynamic odds during the fight. It can offer value, but it requires fast reading and a lot of classroom discipline.
How to choose a market
- If your burgee is "who wins": moneyline.
- If your philander is “how you win”: Method of victory.
- If your Village is “rhythm/duration”: Over/Under or yes/no decision.
- Avoid complex markets if you cannot justify the hypothesis.
