Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has hinted that his return to the octagon could come soon after several months of recovery from eye problems stemming from his fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321. That fight ended in "no contest" after Aspinall suffered a sting in the eye that prevented him from continuing. The Briton explained that he had to undergo several surgeries to fix the problem and that now he finally feels ready to return to competition. Although there is still no official date or confirmed opponent, Aspinall assured that his goal is to return as soon as possible to defend his belt and regain the momentum of his reign in the heavyweight division.
