Noche UFC Come back this Saturday 12 September with a billboard built around the Mexican and Latino public, but with quite a few more things at stake than a simple celebration.
The fourth edition of Noche UFC will be held at the Diamond Arena Glendale, Arizona, and it will also come with a major change from the original plan: Yair Rodriguez will no longer be in the stellar fight.
The Mexican had to face Jean Silva, but an injury forced the complete modification of the main your substitute will be José Miguel D.C., who accepts the most important opportunity of your career and will also have the privilege of competing practically at home.
For Jean Silva, change is uncomfortable.
The Brazilian had prepared a fight against a striker as particular as Yair and now you'll have a different rival ahead, with a lot less than losing and you'll get a shot that would normally have needed several wins to get.
Silva is number six in the featherweight and is part of the clear favourite. After recovering from his defeat against Diego Lopes, he has again placed himself very close to the conversation for the belt.
And there's the real Saturday prize.
Alexander Volkanovski will defend the championship against Movsar Evloev in UFC 333. Yes Jean Silva wins with authority in Noche UFC, will have arguments to claim the winner.
For eddy it's the exact opposite.
He has no pressure from those who are forced to win. A victory would mean skipping virtually the entire tail of the featherweight at once. It is the kind of opportunity that appears very rarely in a race.
The Mexican heart of the billboard will be right below.
Brandon Moreno facing Joseph Morales in a fight that is especially important for his future.
Moreno made history becoming the first Mexican champion of UFC, But now it's going through a very different stage. It's still one of the great names of flyweight, although it needs victories to show that it can still star in another race towards the belt.
Morales comes with a name far less, but with a huge opportunity Moreno immediately acquires relevance within the 125 pounds.
The other great Mexican figure will be Alexa Grasso.
The former champion will face Manon Firot in a huge level fight within the female flyweight. Firoert ranks number two and Grasso is three, so the result can directly influence the next championship rotation.
It will also be an interesting duel stylistically. Firorot will try to use its size, discipline and striking to control the distance, while Grasso needs to recover that version capable of combining boxing, mobility and grappling that took her to the belt.
In the heavyweight there will be another fight with immediate consequences for the ranking.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, number five, faces Curtis Blaydes, number six.
ROMIA Boy has been a Dominican heavyweight curiosity to become a serious seeker for a long time. Blaydes represents a perfect test to know where his roof is really.
The American continues to be one of the best wrestlers of the division and will force Cortes-Acosta to answer a very concrete question: can he maintain his boxing when he has a constant threat of takedown?
David Martinez will also have an important opportunity in front of Dan Ige.
Mexican remains one of the most interesting names of the new generation and now meets a veteran who has been sharing ketagon with rivals of a high level for years.
For Martinez it is the typical fight that can accelerate a race. For Ige, another night working as a filter in front of a younger fighter who tries to occupy his space.
Tommy McMillen vs Marwan Rahiki completes a main billboard with much more depth than he can suggest the absence of a championship.
The preliminaries clearly maintain the Latin identity of the event.
Edgar phoeez faces unforeseeable Tim Elliott, Ignacio Bahamondes will have veteran Muslim Salikhov ahead and Rafa Garcia will seek to impose on Rongzhu.
We will also see Regina Tarín in front of JJ Aldrich and a debut Especially curious: Jessie Rosas, younger brother of Raul Rosas Jr., enters at the last minute to face the undefeated Sean King.
Yousri Belgaroui against Djorden Santos and Drakkar KLEE in front of Tommy Gantt complete a billboard that mixes consolidated names with enough fighters who are still trying to find their place in UFC.
Noche UFC thus maintains the idea with which he was born: to take advantage of the weekend of the Independence of Mexico to build an evening with own identity and to give prominence to Mexican and Latin talent.
This year, however, there is a particularly striking detail.
The event will start well before the usual. In Spain, the preliminary ones will start 20:00 Saturday and the main billboard to the 23:00, an extraordinarily comfortable schedule for the European public.
The reason is also outside the octagon.
The same night Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn is held in Las Vegas, one of the big boxing evenings of the Mexican weekend. Noche UFC has been advanced to reduce overlap between both events.
But inside the cage the main story will be another.
Moreno He tries to prove that he still has a tour to the top. Grasso seeks to get closer to the belt again. Cortes-Acosta can confirm that he belongs to the heavyweight elite. David Martínez has a real test ahead of him.
And Jean Silva You have a chance you can't waste.
Yair Rodriguez will no longer be in front of him and that leaves some shine behind main but not necessarily reduces what is at stake.
Silva needs to win and probably do it in a way that forces UFC to look to him when Volkanovski and Evloev resolve the immediate future of the pen weight.
♪ Meanwhile, it's practically coming from the other end.
Few expectations, close audience and the possibility to change your entire career in twenty-five minutes.
This contrast may end up being precisely what makes Noche UFC 2026.
