The fight was a rematch between the two fighters, as Ferreira had previously defeated Rodrigues in 2023. This time the Brazilian got his revenge with a devastating right hand that ended the fight in just 1:47 of the first round. After the KO, Rodrigues explained that they had specifically worked on that punch during training camp and dedicated the victory to his team. The finish earned him one of the $100,000 bonuses of the night.
