At the UFC 324 weigh-in ceremonies on Friday, former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and contender Alex Perez failed to reach the weight limits for their respective bouts. Figueiredo went 138.5 pounds for a bantamweight duel, while Perez weighed 128.5 pounds in their flyweight matchup, both exceeding the limit by 2.5 pounds. As a consequence, they were fined a percentage of their purse and their fights will continue in catchweight mode. This comes in the middle of the first major soiree of the UFC in 2026 under its new broadcast agreement with Paramount+.
