The UFC announced the official bonuses after the UFC Vegas 114 event held at the Apex in Las Vegas, a card that left several finishes and one of the most intense fights in recent weeks.
The award for Fight of the Night went to the fight between Marwan Rahiki and Harry Hardwick, who starred in an extremely tough battle at featherweight. The fight ended when Hardwick's team decided to stop the fight after the Briton suffered a broken jaw caused by Rahiki's punches, but both fighters were rewarded for the level of intensity shown during the two rounds.
As for the Performance of the Night, one of the awards went to Kevin Vallejos, who achieved the most important victory of his career by defeating veteran Josh Emmett by TKO in the first round of the main event. The Argentine knocked Emmett down several times before referee Herb Dean stopped the fight after a final flurry of punches.
The other main bonus went to Manoel Sousa, who starred in a spectacular finish against Bolaji Oki after connecting a powerful right hand that left his opponent unable to continue.
In addition, several fighters who achieved finishes during the card received additional bonuses of $25,000, including Bia Mesquita, Ion Cutelaba and Elijah Smith, thus rewarding their outstanding performances during the event.
The main prizes of the night amounted to $100,000, a figure that the UFC recently introduced to encourage more spectacular fights within its cards.
