The UFC Fight Night event held at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle left several memorable moments inside the octagon and the organization later announced the winners of the official bonuses of the night. In total, financial prizes were distributed among the fighters who starred in the most outstanding performances of the event.
One of the Performance of the Night bonuses went to Joe Pyfer after his shocking victory over Israel Adesanya in the main fight of the evening. The American managed to turn the tide of the confrontation in the second round after a slower start, connecting forceful punches that ended up taking the fight to the ground. From a dominant position, Pyfer punished the former middleweight champion with ground and pound until referee Herb Dean stopped the fight at 4:18 of the second round.
The second award for Performance of the Night was awarded to Alexa Grasso. The former women's flyweight champion starred in one of the most spectacular finishes of the event by defeating Maycee Barber in the first round. Grasso knocked down her opponent and later secured the finish with a rear-naked choke that ended the fight at 2:42 of the first round.
The Fight of the Night award went to the fight between Tofiq Musayev and Ignacio Bahamondes. Both fighters offered an intense lightweight fight during the preliminaries of the event. Bahamondes had important moments early in the fight and even managed to knock Musayev down with a punch in the second round, but the Azerbaijani fighter managed to recover, open a deep wound with an elbow and end up prevailing thanks to his control in grappling and his ground and pound work during the last rounds.
As a result of these awards, Pyfer, Grasso, Musayev and Bahamondes received additional financial bonuses for their performances. The night in Seattle ended up becoming one of the most entertaining evenings on the UFC's recent calendar, with multiple finishes and hotly contested bouts that kept the Climate Pledge Arena crowd fully engaged.
